Natasha and Charlie came back to Charlie’s hometown in Clive, Hawke’s Bay for their fabulously fun wedding. Charlie’s parents live right on the banks of the Clive River which made a great backdrop for the ceremony and a lovely view from the reception marquee.
Natasha, Kirby, Lisa and Lina spent a relaxed morning getting ready over a few glasses of fizz and lunch. Charlie’s Best Man (Charlie) and his brothers Hamish and Angus, and Dad Charlie (yes, three right Charlies) got competitive over the table tennis table and took some beer for a cruise on the river. They DID make it to the ceremony on time!
We enjoyed a very happy ceremony with a fun reading from Ryan and Kate and although Charlie dropped the ring, he retrieved it so fast I didn’t manage to photograph his gaff.
All Charlie’s family are musical and we listened to music throughout the day from three generations during the ceremony and reception. The speeches during the reception were hilariously MC’d by Charlie’s cousin Greg who also had arranged a ‘drinking’ game for Bride & Groom. Check out the photos. And then Groove Foundation got everyone on their feet for a pretty wild evening of dancing
For their time-out, Mr. & Mrs. Davidson took a walk along the banks of the river with typical Hawke’s Bay summer skies to keep them smiling as they savoured a few moments of newlywed bliss.
