There’s plenty of sheep that are only to happy to help keep down the grass in our Hawke’s Bay vineyards. The sheep farmers are always on the lookout for fresh pasture and the winemakers are always looking to save on fuel and manpower. Moana Park is also keen to be green. So everybody’s happy, especially this young lady!
This photos in on page 23 of the book and was taken on the Onewa vineyard. The Onewa block is named for the alluvium deposits of grey stones and gravel; the surrounding district which includes Gimblett Road has a reputation for producing high quality red wines from Bordeaux red varieties and Syrah. The vines in the background are Merlot.
