Bud break has happened on the Chardonnay and will soon be there on the Merlot and Syrah. So it’s up until dawn frost fighting for the vineyard crew on the Gimblett Gravels. These images in From Bud to Bottle were taken at 6am on the 19th September last year. Wes Johnson is towing a big mobile fan heater up and down the vines to save those buds. He did a good job.
